With support from the Bell Museum's Collections and state malacologists, I researched native mussel species in the context of their role to biodiversity. This piece uses a wall of opening drawers and doors to illustrate the wonder of discovery within a collection. It sheds a light on the grotesque and celebrates the magic and excitement of bivalves!
